Cocoon | by Thomas Simmons
Thomas Simmons is a recent graduate of Boston University. This is his first piece in a journal. He currently resides on numerous friends' couches in the Boston and Allston area and intends to move to Portland, Oregon as soon as possible. He hopes you enjoy what he's written. Clifford holds an M.A. in English from Indiana University and an M.F.A. in Fiction from Queens University of Charlotte. His work has appeared in Shenandoah, The Baltimore Review, Bellowing Ark, North Dakota Quarterly, Eureka Literary Magazine, and elsewhere.

Silver & Tar | by Fanny de Groot
Fanny was born and raised in Utrecht, the Netherlands. She studied Sociology and English Literature at University College Dublin, and recevied an MA in Film Studies there as well. Fanny is now doing the MA in journalism in Antwerp, Belgium. She has published poems in literary journals in Holland: "Krakatau", and Meandermagazine. She also writes on and off for The Voice (International Student Magazine in Leuven) and De Wijzer (a Philosophy magazine, also in Leuven).

Campaigning | by Sonya Larson
Sonya Larson received her BA in English-Creative Writing and Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she served as fiction editor of The Madison Review. She has won numerous awards for her short stories, including the Cy Howard Memorial Scholarship for a most promising graduating writer. Currently she serves as Program Coordinator of Grub Street, an independent creative writing center in downtown Boston.
